Kat Rapheal is an award winning director whose path to directing was not traditional but the destination…inevitable.

Despite her youthful glow and the endless energy, Kat has spent  25-years crafting her directorial approach. Her unmatched ability to work with talent, actors and real people alike, is compliments of starting her career in commercial casting then moving on to produce 40 unscripted shows.  (That’s a fancy way to say Reality Television… and somehow sounds slightly less morally questionable.)  Kat officially reentered the Minneapolis commercial world as a Line Producer, stretching dollars like a Gumby and hosting a Video Village that  always promised to be a good time.

It is these experiences that culminated to form a rare director who understands how to make the most of a budget, reads clients like a book, disarms talent on set, and will quickly and unabashedly explain why goat or a dog will make your spot better… or at least be super fun to shoot with.

Kat’s goal is to truly partner with her clients. She does her best work when clients get her involved early in the creative process, brainstorm with her, and tell her what really matters to them.
